FREDONIA, Pa. (AP) - Police in western Pennsylvania say a 9-year-old boy was accidentally shot while out hunting with relatives. State Police in Mercer County say the boy was raccoon hunting with family members Monday night in Fredonia, about 60 miles north of Pittsburgh. Troopers say a rifle accidentally fired, hitting the boy in the upper body. He was flown to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
