PITTSBURGH (AP) - A Pittsburgh woman is accused of leaving her baby girl locked in a car in subfreezing temperatures. Twenty-five-year-old Dori Lee Zielmanski was arrested after she returned to the car Monday evening. Police say she told them she left the baby in the car while she went to the bathroom. Investigators say a passer-by noticed the child and called police. Authorities say the baby was left alone for at least 15 minutes in the car in the Bloomfield neighborhood. Zielmanski faces charges including child endangerment. She was arraigned early Tuesday morning. It was not immediately clear if she was still in custody. The baby was transported to a hospital to be checked out. Social workers are now caring for the girl. |
